Retired Sgt. First Class Morris "Buddy" Bowser, 86, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, October 7, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1948-1973. He proudly served in "The Rakkasans" during the Korean War, Dominican Republic and Vietnam War.
Morris was born in Bellaire, Mich. on March 1, 1931 to the late Lydia and Rolla Bowser.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Connie Bowser; a son, Freddie Bowser and wife, Christy "Tinker"; daughters, Lydia Kellam and husband, Paul, Gwen Davis and husband, Earl and Geraldine Carter and husband, Johnnie; a brother, Roy Bowser; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla and Lydia Bowser; a brother, Lester Bowser and a grandson, Richie "Goat" Davis.
The family will receive friends from 7 pm to 9 pm Wednesday October 11, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. JD Tew and Rev. Fredrick Klein officiating. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
