I was a Huey helicopter pilot that served with and under Tom in vietnam; Tom was the chief of our 92nd Assault Helicopter Company's Huey helicopter maintenance section, 1968-1969. Tom was an exceptionally good Officer, Leader, Commander and person, who ensured our Hueys were in tip-top shape for our pilots, flight crews and the soldiers we took into combat, resupplied and brought them out, every day. I will always fondly remember and highly respect you my dear old Friend. Give my warmest regards to our Brothers in arms who have gone-on before you; And I look forward to seeing you again when my time comes.

Janet,
We wanted you and your family to know you all have been in our thoughts and prayers. It is truly difficult to lose a loved one, but time does help in the healing process, but the sadness and loss never fully go away. John and I know from experience. Remember the good memories and know your friends and loved ones are standing by you if there is ever anything we can do. Take care of yourself.

I still miss all of my Fort Bragg teacher friends and the good, happy and yes, funny times we enjoyed in an effort to keep our wits about us as we tried to deal with those sixth graders. (MT)
