Mary "Frankie" Roberts

Frankie Roberts, 56, of Spring Lake, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 12, 2015. Frankie's beloved two dogs, Cici and Bowden, also passed away.

Frankie was born in Fayetteville and graduated from Terry Sanford High School. After attending FTCC she worked for Dex Media for over 30 years. She was the president of the Anderson Creek Ladies Golf Association. Frankie had a love for all human beings and especially for animals. She loved horseback riding, golf, shopping, and expressing her philanthropy through volunteer work.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dee Driver.

Frankie  is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 20 years, Dan Roberts; her sons, Dan Roberts Jr. and wife Nichole of Hope Mills and Connor Lee Roberts of Charleston, S.C.; her daughters, Amy Bennett and husband John of Tallahassee, Fla., Ashley Roberts of Tallahassee, and Sara Barnes and husband J.C. of Union, Ky.; eight grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Wesley Pritchard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Haven at 400 Fulford-McMillan Rd, Raeford, NC 28376, a no kill animal shelter, or  A.O. Civitans Club, 1487 NC Highway 87, Elon, NC 27245, sponsors of the Fun on the Farm program for Autistic Children.
