The family of Chester Snipes wishes to convey our sympathy at the passing of Ernestine. Daddy and Ernestine were first cousins on the Davis side. Her daddy, Joe, and my dad'S mother, Lula Ozelle, were brother and sister. We didn't see her often but usually at the Davis Reunion in Roxboro on the fourth Sunday in June. My dad passed away Aug 2013 and he would want us to let you know how much he thought of Ernestine and all of his family.

Wayne & Michael,
I am saddened for your loss of your Mom. Ernestine was forever loving of her family-- immediate and extended! She loved the Davis and the Duncan families. I will always remember the times when she would come for reunions in Person County, sit under the trees at the Duncan sisters home, and reminice!!! Those were special times but I didn't realize just how special until those times were no longer!! I loved her and my sympathy and love extends to you and your family!

I worked with Ernestine at the Cumberland County Tax Collector's Office. We had lunch together often. Ernestine was a hard worker and loved her church and family. She talked about her sons and their families with great love. I visited Ernestine several times at Highland House. I will miss her.
