I just wanted to send my sincere sympathy to Nettie's family. She was such a good friend to my brother Lacy and I appreciate her loving him and being a real friend. May God bless and comfort you all and one day you will meet again.

Nettie was my Sister & Friend. Even though she was almost 24 years older than me, we were very close. We talked by phone at least once a day, if not more, before her onset of Altzheimers. She & I were each other's weather reporters😊 If a drop of rain hit her porch awning, she would call to ask me if it was raining at my house. If my answer was "No", she'd say it was headed my way. If I saw a streak of lightning or heard a roll of thunder, I'd do the same for her. Lord forbid a snowflake fell because we'd
be trying to call each other at the same time. She often spoke of her girls (Terri, Brenda & Tese) and how each showed their love for her. She never got over losing her son Joe, often searching for answers as to why he left her so soon. She looked forward
to her daily visits from Mr. Laci and his nighttime call to remind her to take her meds. She was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her latter years, her cat "JoJo" was her constant companion. She would fuss about him one minute and have him sitting in her lap the next. Nettie truly enjoyed her years working for the Smiths at Massey Hill Grill. It gave her the perfect opportunity to talk with everyone and she loved that. My big Sis is gone now to her eternal home, but She will never be forgotten. I miss her already 😪

Through marrying James Smith and spending time at Massey Hill drug store, I had the pleasure of getting to know Ms Nettie. I will always remember how much fun she was and full of mischief. So many laughs and fond memories. Rest in peace Nettie.
