Lina Pearl Rinehart

Mrs. Lina Pearl Rinehart, 83, of Carthage, NC entered her eternal home, surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, March 21st, 2017. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James David "JD" Rinehart, sons Eddie Flowers and Tony Flowers, and two grandchildren, Chelsea Palmer and Clint Flowers. 

She is survived by her sister Liz Jones of Smithfield, NC; children, Beverly Flowers of Charlotte, Cathy Flowers of Elizabethtown, Wayne Flowers and wife, Kathy of Cameron, Samuel Flowers and wife, Gail of Jacksonville, Fla.  and Cynthia (Hope) Flowers of Gastonia; 11 grandchildren, as well as, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

Born Lina Pearl Whitley, "LP" was known by many and loved by all. She was the embodiment of a true Southern Lady. Never to be seen without her nails painted and her hair "coiffed", her visible beauty was minor in detail to the great spirit and soul within. Her smile was infectious but the fierce love she had for her family and friends was something much more.  Never meeting a stranger, she affectionately referred to everyone as "honey" and "heart".  As you read this, and if you knew her, you can probably hear her saying it. 

She was always ready for a big adventure or a "little ride-about". To her children she was Mom, Mother and Princess. To her grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren, she was Mimi. OUR Mimi. 

Her smell, smile, laughter, love for warm spring days and chirping birds, her good home cooking and amazing hugs will truly be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with  Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating.  Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12 pm (noon) to 2 pm prior the service at the funeral home.
