Demetrios Theodoros Perivolaris

Demetrios Perivolaris, age 72, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015, surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the Trisagion Service beginning at 6 p.m. at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, Monday April 6, 2015. The funeral service will be held at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

Demetrios Perivolaris was a devoted and beloved husband to Georgia Kranidas Perivolaris, loving father of three children: Constantine Perivolaris, wife Renee of Florence, S.C., Mary Perivolaris of Fayetteville, and George Perivolaris of Fayetteville; grandfather of six grandchildren: James, Olivia and Sophia of Florence, S.C. and Theodore, Demetri and Abigail of Fayetteville; a brother Steve Paris of Fayetteville and a sister, Vasiliki Papageorgiou of Athens, Greece and is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Demetrios Perivolaris was preceded in death by his son James Theodore Perivolaris.

Demetrios Perivolaris was born July 28, 1942 in Lyrkia, Greece.  He married Georgia Kranidas Perivolaris June 12, 1966 and came to America in 1967.

Demetrios, also known affectionately as Mr. D., was a kind, compassionate, considerate philanthropist who was a devoted and loving husband and father. Mr. D. was the epitome of Greek pride and the American Dream. Through his hard work and dedication, he was the owner of several successful family owned and run restaurants to include the North Atlantic Fish and Chips. Demetrios was a beloved and respected man who always had a warm smile, an easy laugh and a kind word.

Demetrios and Georgia Perivolaris were active members at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church for over 47 years.
