Bessie Massengill Johnson

Bessie M. Johnson, 86, of Fayetteville passed away at home on July 15, 2016. 

She was born on Sept. 2, 1929, to the late Lonnie and Bertie Massengill. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, J.R. Johnson; son James Michael Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Frankie L. Johnson; son, Robert Curtis Johnson; sister, Katie J. Mitchell; daughter in law, Alesia Johnson; grandchildren, Steven (Jennifer), Melanie, Shawn (Cherie), Jon-Michael, Amber (Steven), Amanda (Michael), Daniel and 10 great grandchildren.

She was a faithful member of the Fayetteville Advent Christian Church from 1961 until her health began to fail. During those years she had been a Sunday school secretary and a member of the WHFM, Choir and Board.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Monday, July 18, 2016 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Pritchard and Rev. Wesley Pritchard officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:45 am - 12:45 pm prior the service at the funeral home.
