William “Bill” Michael Passick Jr., 94, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Passick, and his son, Michael Passick. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Mark Passick (Sharon), Jamie Passick, and Joseph Passick; and his brother, Marty Passick.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army for 8 years, 10 months, and 30 days and was a veteran of the Korean War Era. After his military service, he held a variety of positions including roles with PWC, Bragg Mutual Federal Credit Union, the Department of Veterans Affairs on Ramsey Street, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department as State Treasurer Payroll, and the City of Fayetteville Bus Company.
He was an active member of several organizations, including American Legion Post 32 and the Knights of Columbus #2838. A lifelong supporter of his community, Bill was a devoted member of the Massey Hill Lions Club for 51 years, where he was honored with the prestigious Jack Stickley Fellowship. He was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 670.
In addition to his civic contributions, Bill enjoyed coaching baseball and was a key part of the Massey Hill Neighborhood Watch. Fondly known as the "Mayor of Massey Hill," he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire community he served so faithfully.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel.
