William Lynn Thigpen, born on August 18, 1963, in Ft. Bragg, NC, passed away [03/27/2026]. He is survived by his loving siblings: Sarah Lee Thigpen, and Joseph Wesley Thigpen. William was proceeded in death by Joseph William Thigpen (father), Julia May Thigpen (mother), and Thomas Mark Thigpen (brother). He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Phoebe.
William, "Bill" as he was affectionately known, had a passion for flying and piloting planes. He had a deep love for helping others always stopping to help anyone he came across in need. He was fiercely stubborn and strong willed. He navigated through life with a strong sense of caring for his loved ones and extending a helping hand to those in need.
Bill's family cherished him dearly, and his passing has created a void in their hearts. However, his legacy of compassion and caring nature will forever serve as a guiding light as they continue their journeys on earth. They take solace in the belief that they will reunite with Bill and their parents in eternal victory alongside their Lord and Savior, Christ.
May William Lynn Thigpen's memory be a blessing and may his spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bill will be interned at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery Saturday April 4, 2026, at 1:00PM. This will be a graveside service and celebration of a life well lived.
