Virginia Watts Beacham, 100, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Highland House of Fayetteville.
Virginia was born on June 21, 1924, in Cumberland County.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Watts, Sr. and Florence Carter Watts; husband, Clarence L. Beacham and brothers, William C. Watts and Roy Watts, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four daughters, Edwina Barrientos of Tacoma, WA, Madeline W. Jones (Gearnes) of Red Springs, NC, Paula Gonzalez of Hope Mills, NC and Spunky Leffingwell of Tega Cay, SC; grandchildren, Christopher Morrison, Shom Barrientos, Shad Barrientos, Shana Barrientos, Regina J. Locklear, Ragen Jones, and Senio Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Jessie Jones, Garrett Locklear, Madison Cummings, Kenly McLaurin, and Colton Gonzalez; and three great great grandchildren.
Virginia was an active member of Bible Baptist Church in Hope Mills, NC for many years. She loved the Lord and was active in the women’s ministry.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Virginia cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was truly the matriarch of our five generations.
Virginia loved to travel, shop, butterflies and loved desserts. All shades of lavender and purple were her favorite colors.
She will surely be missed by all that loved and knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 1 pm at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery, 2881 Gillespie St. Fayetteville, NC.
