Tracie Laraine Miller

Tracie Miller 61 passed away Saturday morning, August 16,2025 at Cape Fear Hospital surrounded by her 2 children and husband.  Tracie was born at Charleston Air Force Base in Charleston, SC on March 24, 1964 to the late Rodger Smitley and Mauverneen (Jones) Smitley.

She was preceded by both of her parents, Rodger and Mauverneen and father in law, Michael Miller.

Tracie is survived by her husband Jim, her son Christopher Perkins,  Daughter Alexandra Hardwick, Daughter in law Sarah Perkins and Son in law Zachary Hardwick.  Three grandchildren that were her world, Caleb , Amelia, and Jackson and many other relatives and family.

Tracie touched so many people's lives and always tried to bring a smile and kind face or word.  She always tried to brighten patients' day as well as her family and friends .  She had a great personality and sense of humor.  All family and friends knew what a great athlete and huge fan of Tarheel basketball and Notre Dame football.  But nothing compared for her love of the beach.
