Timothy Carl McNeill passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elsie Jones McNeill and Carl Boyer McNeill.
Tim is survived by his loving daughter, Savannah McNeill Cheeseman and her husband, Michael, of Colchester, VT; his two devoted sisters, Vickie McNeill Crocker and her husband, Archie Edward (Ed) of Pittsboro, NC, and Daphne McNeill Williams and her husband, Ronald Edward (Eddie) of Conover, NC. He is also survived by four cherished granddaughters—Kennedy, Charlotte, Leighton, and Parker Cheeseman—as well as his nephews, Drew Williams of Moncure, NC, Addison Williams and his wife, Jess of Zionville, NC, and great-niece, Adalynn Williams of Glen Saint Mary, FL.
Born and raised in Fayetteville, Tim attended Terry Sanford High School before studying engineering at NC State. He began his career with UPS and later found his true calling as a contractor, earning the nickname “Cabinet Man” for his skill and craftsmanship in cabinet carpentry.
Known for his jovial spirit, Tim loved playing guitar, singing, and spending time with Yogi, his devoted canine companion who rarely left his side.
The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date to spread Tim’s ashes in celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of his mother, Elsie Jones McNeill.
