Thomas “Tommy” Vernon Monsour, 72, of Fayetteville went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
Tommy was born on December 21, 1951, to Curt and Eli Monsour. He was a devoted son, brother, dad, papa, and uncle. He will be greatly missed and forever live in the hearts of his surviving family: daughters, Dee-Anna Monsour (Blake) and Ashley Monsour; brother, Joe “Joey” Monsour (Lorie); sisters, Rhonda M. Peterson and Carol M. Puryear; grandchildren, Logan, Brycen, Brayden, and Landon; nieces, Lindsay, Lauren, Elizabeth, and Aubrie; nephews, Jarod, Joseph, Donnie; great nieces, Hayden, Mackenzie, Brooklyn, Remington, and Blakely; great nephews, Damian, Davis, Cameron, Beckett, and Hudson; and his special cousins and their families. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harold Mitchell Monsour and nephew, Harold Mitchell Monsour, II (H.M.).
Tommy never met a stranger. He enjoyed meeting people and always had a welcoming smile and time to talk in only his “sweet” way. He also shared “good times and meals” with close friends.
Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his daughters, grandchildren, siblings and their families. He looked forward to the many family dinners, birthday celebrations, and holiday gatherings.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 11:45 to 1:45 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm in the Rogers and Breece Chapel. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
