Terry “TJ” Jacob Markward, Sr.

Terry Jacob “TJ” Markward, Sr., 42, of Fayetteville passed away on September 25, 2023.

TJ was preceded in death by his cousin, Amanda Bach; uncles, Daniel Bach, and Bill Gidley; and grandfather, William Bach, Sr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Terry Jacob Markward, Jr. “Jacob”; loving mother, Donna (Smokey) Hammond; brothers, Michael (Kelly) Miller and David Miller; grandmother, Marge Bach; uncles, Russ (Kathy) Bach, Bill (Sandy) Bach, Jr., David (Maryellen) Markward; aunts, Kathy (Rich) McClelland, and Patsy Gidley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

TJ graduated from 71st High School. He worked as a cook and in the hotel business as the general manager of the Holiday Inn Express in Lumberton, NC. TJ was a wonderful dad to his son, Jacob, he loved him dearly. He was a man with a big heart and a huge sense of humor, most of all he had the most beautiful smile! He will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 12 to 2 PM. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM in the Rogers and Breece Chapel with Reverend Archie Barringer officiating.
