Steven Charles Pavel, 61, passed away on November 2, 2021 in Fayetteville, NC.

Steve, commonly known as "Hoover" was born in Stuttgart, Germany and raised between Fayetteville, NC and Munich, Germany, graduating from Munich American High School. He will always be a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend as well as a man of faith who cherished and loved his family and friends. Even if you only met him once, you truly felt at home, and warm in his presence. To know him was to love him and to be loved by him. There was never a dull moment with Steve around. He had the best sense of humor and could light up a room with his smile and fill the same room with laughter. He was truly a bright light in this world. Although his time on earth was cut short, he lived a very full life. Steve loved being outdoors, whether riding his motorcycle, camping at Jordan lake with his wife Cheryl and their 3 dogs, or taking a nice hike through the mountains. He was a brother of the Wingmen Motorcycle Club for over 25 years where he met some of the greatest men and traveled to beautiful places together.

Steve was preceded in death by his father Stefan Pavel. Steve is survived by his wife, Cheryl Pavel of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Heather Pavel-Ullmann (Jesse Ullmann) of Charlotte, NC; son, Steven Pavel and daughter Alaina Pavel-Broadnax (Quent Broadnax) of Columbia, SC; mother, Evelyn Pavel of Loves Park, IL; sister and brother-in-law Susie and Chuck Johnson of Loves Park, IL; grandson, Jack Ullmann of Charlotte, NC; former wife, Christine Pavel of Wilmington, NC; Dogs, Tag, June Bug and Bebe, and many loving friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends and family Saturday November 6th during a visitation from 9:30a.m. until 11:15a.m. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:30a.m. at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville, NC. A celebration of life will take place immediately following the service with details to be announced the day of.
