Shirley Thomas (Thomas) Lockamy

Shirley Thomas Lockamy passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Thomas. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Roland Ray Lockamy; her daughters, Mariah Lockamy (Garrett Braddy), Karly Gallimore (Jon Gallimore), and Brittany Gray (Eric Gray); and her stepson, Del Lockamy. She was a proud grandmother to Braylen Lockamy, Brayden Gallimore, Owen Gray, and Berkleigh Gray. Shirley is also survived by her mother Neal Brewington. She will also be deeply missed by many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Shirley had a lifelong passion for shaping young minds, which led her to a career in teaching. She taught at Gallberry Farms until her retirement in 2017. Beyond the classroom, she loved spending time at the beach with Ray and her girls. She found joy in shopping, crafting, and most of all, caring for her family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, with interment at Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery at 290 Red Hill Church Rd Dunn, North Carolina.
