Ryuko Oshimi Jones

Ryuko Jones, 97, of Fayetteville passed away on April 22, 2024.

Ryuko was preceded in death by her father, Ryuko Oshimi; mother, Sen Oshimi; and spouse, Charles R. Jones. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Charles R. Jones, Jr.; daughter, Louise J. Smith; son, Clifford W. Jones and wife, Angie; grandsons, Raymond L. Gerber and wife, Sarah, Brian C. Gerber and wife, Heather; great grandkids, Rebecca, Madison, Juliahna, Jacob, and Drake.

In her younger years growing up in Japan, Ryuko competed in long bow competitions and was an expert marksman. After getting married and moving to the U.S., Ryuko and her husband, Chuck, joined a bowling league and traveled all over winning trophies.

The family will receive friends at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 12:30 to 12:45 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm in the Breece Chapel. Burial to follow the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
