Ruth Starling Obituary

Ruth P. Starling, 88, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on September 11th, 2021.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Elmo Starling; her parents Moody and Bertha Griffin; brothers Jack and Bennie Griffin; and sisters Ray Huffman, Faye Ratley, and Virginia Stowe.

Ruth is survived by her children Donna, from Boynton Beach, Fla., Ricky (wife Debbie) and Joe (wife Nikki) Starling; grandchildren Chase, Brandon, Ryan, Karlee, Kailee; and great grandchildren Sophie, Camden and Colton, all from Fuquay Varina, NC.

Ruth was born in Gaffney, SC on May 28th, 1933. She was a 1952 graduate of Massey Hill High School and Fayetteville Tech. Ruth was a proud military wife, former cosmetologist, and a member of the New Hope Church of God in Fayetteville. She was loved dearly by her friends and family and will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 at 11:00am at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A visitation will be held before the service from 10:00am to 10:45am. Burial will follow the service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Pastor Andy Johnson presiding.
