Ruth Suggs Bucca

Ruth Suggs Bucca, 99, of Hope Mills passed away in her home on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Ruth was born in Henderson, NC to the late Sam and Rosa Suggs of Hope Mills, NC. Ruth was married to the late Joseph M. Bucca, who retired from the military. She retired from the Post Exchange in Ft Liberty, NC.

Ruth enjoyed working crossword puzzles, shopping, crafting, and traveling with her two best friends, Jodie Aldridge and the late, Peggy Howell.

Her beloved dog, Maggie preceded her in death in 2022 and her cat, Spooky in 2023.

Ruth is survived by her 80 year old son, Larry Hickman; her 79 year old daughter, Linda Porter; her 77 year old daughter, Meredith Brown and her 66 year old daughter, Joette Inman. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and her 15 great great grandchildren.
