Richard Carlisle Waltz, 71, of Linden passed away on June 9, 2022.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Leland Carlisle Waltz and Hazel Ann Crews; brother, David Waltz; and brother, Michael Waltz. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 52 years, Ruth Ellen Davis Waltz; son, Robert Carlisle Waltz of Hope Mills, NC; daughter, Marcie Renea Waltz Kelly and husband, Tim of Clinton, NC; grandson, Brandon Kelly of Clinton, NC; grandson, Jacob Kelly of Clinton, NC; grandson, Grant Kelly of Clinton, NC; sister, Elaine Batton of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Richard passed away at Cape Fear Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He proudly served 20 years in the Army. He loved hunting, fishing, his dog Mattie and most of all, his family.
