Rev. Freddie D. Britt, age 87, passed away February 12th, 2021 at Carolina Rehab Center of Fayetteville, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Verna Britt; sons Freddie R. Britt and Kenneth D. Britt; sisters Eldrie Davis, Melba Dove, and Betty Jo Britt; brother Wayne Britt; grandson Zachary Britt.

He is survived by his wife Faye H. Britt; daughter Wanda Arnett (Denny) of Hope Mills, NC; son Darol W. Britt (Theresa) of Waynesviille, NC; brother Norris Britt (Linda) of Clarkton, NC; sisters Annette Jackson of Bladenboro, NC, Linda Joyce Neal (Dale) of Fayetteville, NC, and Annis Hester (Harold) of Bladenboro, NC; grandchildren Barry Britt of Arizona, James Britt (Pua) of California, Brandi Machowski (David) of Arizona, Melissa Sibbett (Grady Jr.) of Hope Mills, NC, Jessica McKinsley (Joey) of Summerville, SC, and Jordan Britt of Dunn, NC; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Rev. Freddie D. Britt, better known to many as “Honey,” departed from this life to answer his promotion to his Heavenly home Friday, February 12th, 2021. He accepted Christ at the early age of 17 and the call to ministry at 20 years of age. He ministered some 60+ years and did so until six months before his passing. He always talked to everyone about Jesus. That was his life. He never left you without an opportunity to meet Jesus.

He also worked as a heavy equipment operator with Crowell Construction of Fayetteville for 43 years, until his retirement in 1999. He worked after retiring with the love of his life, Faye, at Faye’s Florist until they both retired in 2010.

A visitation for Rev. Britt will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Sunday February 14th, 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, February 15th, 1 PM at Refuge Pentecostal Church in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Russel Kinlaw Jr officiating.  Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC.
