Retired Master Sgt. James Hillary Holland

Retired MSGT James Hillary Holland, 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

James was a loving husband for 68 years to Nancy.  They had a beautiful daughter, Diane and two wonderful sons, James, Jr. and Gary.

He was a deacon at LaGrange Park Baptist Church for over 25 years.  He taught Sunday School and worked on many committees and he helped to build the Education Wing at the church.  James and his family were loyal and loved LaGrange Park Baptist Church for over 50 years.

He was very proud to serve his country in the Air Force and watched his sons serve and retire from the Army and the Air Force.  After his retirement James worked as a warehouse technician with PWC and retired after 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Morrison Holland of the home; a daughter, Helen Diane Meegan of Monroe; two sons, James H. Holland, Jr. and wife, Diana of Albertsville, Ala. and Gary D. Holland and wife, Susan of Elizabeth City; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Rehrer officiating.  Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
