Retired Master Sgt. Alfredo Torres-Gonzalez, 89, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
A veteran of the Army serving in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War, Mr. Torres-Gonzalez dedicated 23 years of service to our country.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa A. Torres.
He is survived by his three daughters, Silvia Andrews of Fayetteville, Graciela E. Childress of Hope Mills and Juanita White and husband, Tom of Missouri; two sons, Alfredo Torres-Billoch and wife, Maria of New Mexico and Roberto V. Torres and wife, Yolanda of Fayetteville; a brother, Avelino Torres-Gonzalez and wife, Mercedes of Fayetteville; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 pm to 9 pm Monday, January 29, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
