Renata Yarnell Evans, born June 21, 1977, recognized that she was a foreigner, traveling this earth for a time and that she would be joined with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ one day. She went to spend eternity with Him on Sunday May 17, 2020.
Renata was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC where she attended school up through high school and then attended Pembroke University, graduating with her bachelors in 2002. In 2006, she achieved her first great masterpiece starting her journey of motherhood with Ella and her second great masterpiece with Paulette in 2009. Renata had a remarkable way of finding humor in the good times, bad times, and even the mundane. She had high expectations for others and for herself. She was a strong willed child and was more fiercely strong willed as a woman.
Renata was survived by her two biggest parts of her heart, daughters Ella Nakoma Evans and Paulette Nakyah Evans; her loving parents, Burl Alvester Evans Jr. and Pauline Evans; her sister, Erica Booher and husband Robert Booher; her brother, Burl Alvester Evans III and wife Jacquetta Evans. She also left behind nieces Lillian Booher and Seyla Evans, nephew Zion Evans and lifelong friend, Ruth Toro.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 24th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm at The Cape Fear Botanical Garden Tuesday, May 26th. A burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
