Phillip Anthony Melvin

Phillip Anthony Melvin, 75, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Lucile Melvin, brothers, J.D. Melvin, Jr., Wiley R. Melvin, Robert D. Melvin, and Jerry K. Melvin. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Kathryn Jeannette Melvin; daughter, Susan Melvin Martinez (Derek); daughter, Toni Melvin Pate (Earl); and his grandchildren, Isabella Rose Martinez and Benjamin Trapper Martinez.

Phillip was raised in the farming community of Beaver Dam. He played football for Stedman High School and was a member of the reunion committee. He was a loving father and grandfather, who thought his family should eat every Sunday night together. He encouraged his grandchildren to be the best they could in everything they attempted. He will be missed by all who know him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Northwood Temple Church from 10 to 10:45 am. A memorial service will be held at 11 am with Reverend John Hedgepeth officiating.
