Peggy Louise Emanuel

Mrs. Peggy Emanuel, 85, of Hope Mills, NC peacefully departed this life in her home, on Wednesday December 23, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 2, 1935 in Chadbourn, NC to the late Shelton Hinson and Missie Strickland.

Mrs. Emanuel was a member of Cape Fear Baptist Church for 42 years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and cooking for her family and she loved all flowers. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 62 years James Elbert Emanuel; her son Leroy Strickland and wife Patty of Conway, SC; her daughters, Sarah Odom and husband, Jackie of Murfreesboro, TN and  Robbin Emanuel of Hope Mills, NC; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday December 26, 2020 at Cape Fear Baptist Church Family Life Center from 1pm to 2pm. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2pm in the Family Life Center with Pastor Tony Brewington officiating. A committal service will follow at the church cemetery.
