Peggy Abbott White
Obituary
Peggy Abbott White, age 80, a resident of 2503 Woodwind Drive, died on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, at her home. Born May 17th, 1943, in Vance County, she was the youngest and now only surviving child of the late Edward James Abbott and Jessie Bledsoe Abbott.
She was survived by her husband of 62 years, John Richard White. She was also survived by her two children, Kimberly White Smith, and John Richard White, Jr., 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She was often seen assisting her husband with their Pharmacy, John White Drugs, a long-time fixture on Haymount Hill.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Nancy Abbott Thomas, James Abbott, Ruth Stanley, Clifton "Skeet Abbott, and Dalton "Jack" Abbott.
A funeral service will be at 1 pm on Thursday, September 7, preceded by a time of visitation from noon to 1 pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
