Peggy Ann (Sheppard) Hodges

Peggy Ann Sheppard Hodges passed away on Monday August 4th, 2025.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Johnny M. Hodges Sr., daughter JoAnn Hodges, son Johnny ‘Moore’ Hodges Jr., her parents Sidney Ray Sheppard and Ruby Mae Sheppard, her sister Iris Mallard, and brother Sidney ‘Ray’ Sheppard Jr.

Peggy leaves behind to cherish her memory Larry F. Hodges, Phoebe H. Smith, her grandchildren Christopher Hodges, Justin Hodges (Christina), Sydney Hodges Ziegler (Brian), William Watts, and five great grandchildren.

Peggy deeply loved her children and took immense pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of her church community. Peggy also had a fondness for Eastern North Carolina BBQ, Texas Pete hot sauce, and any kind of hot pepper.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and her unshakable love for her family.
