Patrick Stephen Hurley

Patrick Stephen Hurley, 70, of Fayetteville passed away on April 19, 2023.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Edeltraud and Stephen Hurley, his sister, Janet Frieda Hurley and his favorite dog, Misty. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Kathryn (Kitty); son, Michael (Marycor); grandchildren, Landon, Izaiah, and Maryanna of Phoenix; sister, Linda Baxter; niece, Laura Doak (Patrick); grandniece, Charlotte; nephew, Stephen Baxter, all of Bangor, Maine; a favorite cousin, Brenda Hurley and a host of other cousins. Patrick is also survived by his fur babies, Abby Marie, Katie Sue, and Teddy B.

Patrick worked for Cumberland County for 32 years, retiring as Director of the Job Link Career Center.

Patrick loved to garden and cook. He was known as a master gardener, volunteering at the Botanical Garden, Cumberland County Extension Office, and Saint Patrick Catholic Church as the columbarium chair and part time gardener.  

The family will receive friends from 11:45 to 12:45 PM at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023. A Memorial Mass will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM with Father Sparrow officiating.
