Nancy Pate Tedder

Nancy Pate Tedder, age 71, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020, due to complications from congestive heart failure. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Bennett H. Pate and Enza E. Pate.  Her siblings: Hubert Pate, Oralee Nichols, Hosmer Pate and Lavern Pate.  Her children: Tracy Holifield and Travis Green, as well as grandchildren: Brittany Davidson, Dimon and DeLayna Lathem, Tyler Gillespie and several angels that we never got to meet.

Nancy is survived by her children:  Barbara (Wesley) Logston, Jack (Paula) Green, Chrystal (John) Gillespie, William (Stacy) Lathem, and Susan (Curtis) Norris. 

Grandchildren: Phillip Thetford, Amber Krainiak, Felicia (Chris) Strickland, Joshua (Brittany) Tatum, Makayla (Kyle) Robinson, Colby Logston, Riley Logston, Kari Green, Haley Gillespie, Cameron Lathem, Chauni Lathem and Ethan Lathem.   Great-grandchildren: Heather Davidson, Matthew Davidson, Alexis Tatum, Renee’ Tatum, Michael Robinson, Eli Robinson, Oaklyn Robinson, Jax Robinson, and Eli Geno-Green. 

Her brother: Neal (Deanna) Pate and sisters: Bonnie Schrimsher, Faye Wingo, and Peggy Carden; as well as, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.

Nancy was very friendly and passionate about God and family.  She never met a stranger with whom she couldn’t share her Jesus! She was a huge communicator, fervent prayer warrior, great cook, good singer, avid music lover, artist, and traveler. All her family and friends in North Carolina, Alabama, and Florida love and miss her dearly.  A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, 14 November 2020, at 3:00 PM at Calvary Missionary Methodist Church, 185 Calvary Church Rd, Olivia, NC 28368.

A separate memorial service will be held in her home state of Alabama for her family and friends at a date to be determine.
