Nancy Elizabeth Briggs, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Born on June 4, 1958, in Stuttgart, Germany, Nancy was an identical twin to Tina Briggs, who sadly passed away after one day of life. Nancy was a warrior—resilient and determined, always striving to overcome the challenges life placed before her.
She graduated from 71st High School in 1976 and went on to become the first of her siblings to earn a college degree, graduating from Appalachian State University. Nancy was deeply loved and will be and is missed beyond measure. We take comfort in knowing she is now running and swimming freely in heaven.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Jesse A. Briggs, and her sister, Tina Marie Briggs. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Susie Briggs; her sister, Susan B. Zeiber and husband, Richard; her brother, Jesse A. Briggs, II (Al); nephews, Jesse Briggs, Coleman Briggs, R. Elgin Zeiber, Joshua R. Zeiber (wife, Kandyce), and Dominic R. Zeiber; niece, Dylann R. Zeiber; and her beloved cat, Mya.
A private graveside service will be held at Cross Creek Cemetery #3.
