Michael Wayne Collier, 72, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Michael was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on June 24, 1953, into the loving family of the late Willard and Lucille (Crumpler) Collier.
Michael is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kelly Collier, and their three children, Mills, Burke, and Jack, of Raleigh, North Carolina; his cousin Ken Collier, his wife Christine, and their sons , John, Kenny, and Christopher, of St. Louis, Missouri; and many wonderful friends and former colleagues.
Michael lived his life to the fullest, always seeking out a new adventure and friends to join him on it. Whether Michael was racing Hobie Cats at Myrtle Beach, enjoying his favorite live music, or pitching hours of batting practice to his son Ryan, he did so with an infectious joy for life. Michael was also widely celebrated as a real estate appraiser in the Fayetteville area for more than 40 years, carrying the unanimous reputation of an earnest, honest, and faithful hard worker. A true individual, Michael will be fondly remembered for his love for people, “good times,” and his passion for getting the most he could out of this one precious life.
A Memorial Service will be held at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home, 500 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. There will be a visitation hour beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at noon.
