Michael Lee Berryhill, 66 passed away at Cape Fear Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Grover C. Berryhill; his mother, Joyce Douglas; his stepfather, Walton Douglass; and his son Gregory Berryhill.
Michael is survived by his wife, Heidi Berrhill; his sons, Michael G. of Fayetteville, NC, Matthew (Felicity) of Alaska, Rhonda (Jr) of Hope Mills, NC, Grover (Susanna) of Fayetteville, NC, Christopher (Kelly) of Lexington, SC, and Ricky (Karen) of Tallahassee, Fl; his grandson, Eithan; his nieces, Margaret, Jamie, Hannah, Christina, Kaitlyn, Alissa, and Ashley; and his nephews, Samuel, Jeffrey, Carl, Jarvis, Eric and Gabriel.
Mike, as he was known by friends, was an avid bowler and enjoyed golf. He and his wife enjoyed going to the local and state tournaments, as well as a few national tournaments. After working for Winn-Dixie, he ventured into the bread business, working for Wonder Bread and Merita, which became interstate brands. Mike started working for Bimbo (SaraLee) and eventually owned his own route. He retired May 1, 2024. Mike was dedicated to his work and providing for his family, which resulted in him working 16 hours a day.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM December 17, 2025 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home. His services will be held the following day, December 18, 2025 at the Rogers & Breece Chapel, starting at 12 PM, with internment at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Diabetes Association, The American Cancer Society or to Relay for Life.
