Melissa Doyle

Melissa Doyle (58), of Fayetteville, NC, passed from this life on Friday, March 21, 2025
at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. She was surrounded by her husband and friends. Melissa
was preceded in death by her parents James and Edna Bullard of Mullins, SC. Melissa
is survived by her husband Vern, to whom she was married for 31 years.

Melissa graduated from UNC Chapel Hill as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She owned
and operated a clinic in Fayetteville, NC, specializing in Endocrinology, Diabetes &
Thyroid Disease. She dearly loved her patients, many of whom became close friends
and chosen family. Through her practice she made a difference in patients’ lives. She
taught them how to manage their physical conditions in a compassionate manner, using
technology and medicine to improve their health and enhance their quality of life. She
was respected by her colleagues and friends. She will be greatly missed both
professionally and personally.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in Fayetteville, NC at Rogers and Breece
Funeral Home, 11AM-1PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Melissa greatly loved her dogs. Her favorite pastime was caring for and training her
dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Fayetteville Animal Protection Society
