Mary Anne Bell Keith died on Sunday evening, March 23, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on January 19, 1956, to William M. and Bobbie Long Bell in Fayetteville.
Anne graduated from Reid Ross High School in 1974 and attended Meredith College before transferring to Wake Forest University, where she graduated in 1978. She spent the spring semester of 1977 in London, England, at the Wake Forest Worrell House. Upon graduation, she was employed by Wake Forest University to manage the Worrell House for the summer of 1978, remaining in London until December of that year. Upon returning to Fayetteville, she worked for Carolina Telephone & Telegraph until 1988.
Anne married Tom J. Keith on May 25, 1985.
From 2008 to 2024, she served as the Office Manager at Tom J. Keith & Associates, where she oversaw payroll, scheduled employee projects, and managed numerous properties.
Anne grew up in First Baptist Church of Fayetteville and had been an active member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church since October 1982. She met her husband, Tom Keith, in the singles group at Snyder and was involved in numerous Sunday School classes. She also participated in the Friends Indeed Bible Study. Additionally, she was a member of the Halcyon Book Club, LaFayette Ladyslippers Garden Club, Fayetteville Garden Club, The Cape Fear Assembly, The Assembly, The Gala Social Club, and The Supper Club. She also served as a board member of the Fayetteville Symphony.
Anne was a welcoming hostess to family and friends. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, affectionately known as "Boo" by her family.
Anne is survived by her husband, Tom J. Keith, and their three sons: Benjamin Keith and his wife, Brittany, and their three sons, Caleb, Seth, and Aiden, of Cary; Jamie Keith of Raleigh; and Alex Keith and his wife, Juliana, of Fayetteville. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Thomas Bell and Stewart Bell, and his wife, Gwen, and their children, Andrew Bell and his wife, Stacey; Mary Stewart Bell Sullivan and her husband, Brian; and Hunter Bell and his wife, Shannon. She is also survived by her aunt, Jeanette Long Kelly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025, between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Gathering Hall at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, with a memorial service to follow in the Sanctuary.
