Margie (Linda) Friend Gibbs

Margie (Linda) Friend Gibbs, 71, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 27th, 2023.

Margie was preceded in death by her dad, John W. Friend; mom, Margie Quick; and her brother, William Curtis Quick.  She is survived by her husband, James C. Gibbs; children, Richard Barefoot, Jr (Michelle), Kenneth Barefoot (Margaret), April Oxendine (Jamie); three stepchildren, Gregory Gibbs, Darrell Gibbs (Courtney), Allison Gibbs; her 14 grandchildren, great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Margie was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her life blessings and she always made sure they knew that. She touched the hearts and lives of others with her kindness and prayers. Margie was a strong, faithful Christian woman. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, spending time with her family, and making her famous banana pudding for the enjoyment of others.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 PM on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM in the Rogers and Breece Chapel with Reverend Chip Stapleton officiating. Burial to follow the service at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
