Margarette Tart Dunn

Margarette Tart Dunn, age 82, passed away at home February 2, 2021. She was a graduate of Meadow High School, Highsmith-Rainey Hospital Nursing School, Duke-Watts School of Anesthesia, and Campbell University.

Margarette, a nurse anesthetist (CRNA), spent 50 plus years as a healthcare professional working at medical centers in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.  She began her career as a nursing supervisor at Highsmith-Rainey and then Cape Fear Valley Hospital before becoming a CRNA.

She is survived by her husband William Preston Dunn, Sr., children Henrietta Dunn Jutson (husband Daniel) and William Preston Dunn, Jr., and grandson Daniel John Jutson II. 

Margarette is predeceased by her parents Henrietta and Moses A. Tart, brothers Roy Tart, William Tart, Lee Whit Tart, Marcus Tart, and sister, Julia Naylor.
