Godwin- MSgt William “Bill” Glenn Harper, 62, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Bill was born in Elkins, WV, in April 1958 to Edward Dice Harper, Jr, and Wilma Mae Moore. He served in the United States Air Force from 1976-1997, retiring after 20 years; he’s remembered by fellow Airmen as a remarkable leader. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of over 44 years Virginia “Elaine” Lewis Harper; daughters Katherine Willet (Ronnie) and Sara Sheets (Jacob); brother Edward Dice Harper III (Judith); sisters Randy Harper and Pamela Varner (Richard); grandchildren Brianna Smith (fiancé Ryan Diaz), Brandon Smith (Fransisca), Elise Harper, Reagan Sheets, and Mckenna Sheets; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home on January 13, 2021, beginning at 2PM followed by a funeral service at 3PM. Interment will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on January 22, 2021, for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Society in his honor.
