Lillie Davis

Lillie Mae (Smith) Davis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at her Linden North Carolina home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mae was born on September 25, 1933, in Stonewall Township, North Carolina to the late Reece and Mattie (Bryant) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles L.
Davis Sr.; her son, Billy Ivey; son-in-law David Harris of O’Fallon, Missouri and brother Reece Smith, Jr.

She is survived by five children, sons Lawrence (Sandra) Ivey of Raeford, NC; Charles L Davis, Jr of Raeford, NC; Mary Lynn (Thomas) Hilburn of Hope Mills, NC; Lorrain Harris of Belton, MO
and Norma (Tony) Tassler of Sanford, NC; along with an abundance of grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mae served 24 years as a devoted wife supporting her husband and taking care of their home while he was active duty serving the US Army. She was able to enjoy their retirement years
completing plastic canvas projects, crocheting, needlepoint and working in her yard. She found much joy watching her hummingbirds, deer and squirrel who became regular visitors over the
years. She loved spending time with family and keeping in touch with her military extended family. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Monday, December 23, 2024. A visitation will happen prior from 1:00Pm to 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
