Lore was born in Nuremberg, Germany on December 21, 1940. She grew up there with her parents, Andreas and Hedwig Dasch, and her sister Erika. Her roots in Germany always stayed close to her heart.
As a young woman she met an American soldier and they fell in love. On November 22, 1962, they were married in Germany and began a life together that would take her across the ocean to the United States. Charles was the love of her life and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and family.
Lore was first and always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Being a homemaker was never just a title to her. It was how she showed love. She made a house feel safe. She made holidays special. She made sure everyone was fed, cared for, and wrapped in comfort. Her family was everything to her and she loved and cherished them with her whole heart. She loved traveling, camping trips, and beach time with her family. She loved history, hence why she loved visiting historic places. Simple days surrounded by the people she loved most meant the world to her. She loved reading and working crossword puzzles. She sewed, crocheted, painted, drew, and spent time tending to her flowers and garden. If something needed to be mended or made, she would do it herself. Creating things with her hands brought her peace.
She was a proud member of the German Club of Fayetteville and enjoyed keeping that connection to where she came from. Anyone who knew her can still hear her saying, “for crying out loud,” in that familiar way that was so completely her.
Lore was preceded in death by her parents Andreas and Hedwig Dasch, her sister Erika Bardt, her beloved husband Charles William Sarchet, and her son Patrick Charles Sarchet.
She is survived by her daughter Janette Sarchet Keaton, her grandchildren, Tiffany Renee Warrens, Kierrah Sarchet Keaton, and Steffen Patrick Sarchet, and her five great-grandchildren Saray, Jayden, Leah, Kamiyah, and Koa. She is also survived by her cousin Claudia Seeser of Munich, Germany, and her sister in laws, Darlene Barge of Minerva, Ohio, and Linda Clifton of Canton, Ohio.
Her love lives on in every one of them.
She will be deeply missed. But the home she built, the memories she made, and the love she gave so freely will never leave her family.
For crying out loud… what a beautiful life she lived.
