Leila Marisol Concepcion

Leila Marisol Concepcion passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 in her Hope Mills home surrounded by her loved ones after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Leila was born on February 12, 1962 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, where she spent her early life. As an adult, Leila resided in Philadelphia. She had two children, Nydia and Luis. She later met her husband, Ildefonso, in 1992 and married in 1993 shortly after she had her third child, Ilmaris. As the saying goes, all great mothers are promoted to grandmothers . Lelia had 8 beautiful grandchildren who she adored.

The things Leila enjoyed most were: spending time with family, enjoying her favorite foods, and crocheting. Leila was very fashionable, a "fashionista" as she would say, and loved shopping. 

To know Leila was to love her. She gave her all so selflessly without a second thought. Kind, caring, and loving are some words you could use to describe her. More importantly, she was the best mother, wife, and grandmother that anyone could ever be, or ask for. She will be truly missed and held close to our hearts. Leila is survived by her husband, Ildefonso, her daughters, Nydia and Ilmaris, her grandchildren, Dasanni, Kiarah, Demarques, Tristan, Amarelis, Dominic, Gavin, and Milani, her mother, Ana, and all of her friends and family. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 4:00pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday, May 12, from 7:00 to 9:00pm and also on Friday, May 13, from 1:45 to 3:45pm.
