On May 9, 2025, Laura Davidson Pike of Fayetteville, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A devoted member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Laura lived a life of faith, perseverance, and love. She courageously battled diabetes for 57 years and was blessed with the gift of a kidney transplant, which sustained her for 11 more precious years. Her passing is attributed to complications from this disease.
Laura was preceded in death by her loving parents, Roland and Ethel Davidson, and her sister, Connie Sue Davidson. She is survived by her beloved son, Fred Thomas “Tripp” Zahran, III; her sister, Sara Whitaker; and her brothers, Roland Keith Davidson (Amy), John Philip Davidson (Sharon), and Robert DeWitt Davidson (Angie). She also leaves behind cherished nephews: Matthew Joel Coryell, Marcus Roland Coryell (Tina), Brandon Keith Davidson (Kaitlyn), Chandler Dewitt Davidson, Jacob Owen Davidson, Aaron Zachary Hunt (Caitlyn), Ethan Dewitt Davidson; her niece, Miranda Leigh Davidson; and many beloved great-nieces and nephews.
