LTC (R) Stephen J. Berti

LTC (R) Stephen J. Berti, 87 of Fayetteville, NC passed away on April 14, 2024. Steve was born in San Jose, California on December 10, 1936, and after a long military career considered Fayetteville his home.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Leah and Jerry Berti as well as his two brothers, Jerry, and Carl Berti all from California.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rosalie; his son, Kenneth Berti and his wife, Christi of Fayetteville; his grandson, Zachary Berti and his fiancée, Ashley Frost of Roseville, CA; his granddaughter, Ashleigh Ferland and her husband, Brandon of Coronado, CA; and his granddaughter, Shannon Agee and her husband, Tanner of Huntingdon, England. He also has two great grandsons, Angus and Elvin Ferland of Coronado, CA. Steve is also survived by four wonderful sisters in law, Kathryn Monsour, Sheila Monsour, Roberta Berti and Debbie Berti. During his lifetime Steve was also surrounded by many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

During his Military career and his civilian life Steve touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at St Michaels Maronite Catholic Church in Fayetteville, NC at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The Family will receive friends following the service in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Michaels Church or The Special Forces Association Scholarship fund.
