Kyong Ok Happney

Kyong Ok Happney (Ogie) Ogie passed away May 9th, 2022 from her battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband Jimmie Happney and her children ;Paul John Gschwind, Andrew Edmund Gschwind Jr, step daughter Geraldine Veirs and her grandchildren Shannon, Samantha, Pria, Natalie, Palmer, Parker, and Percy.

She was born Feb 20,1952 in South Korea. She has lived in Fayetteville,North Carolina from 1992 to the current.  She was a lifelong career entrepreneur. Some of her life's work included Ogie’s discount store, New York Fashions, Ogie’s Laundry Mat, Ogie’s Auto sales, and Timberline Apartments. Ogie loved to gather with friends and family to host dinners, knit, crochet, fish,  garden and most of all she loved to stay busy. Anyone that knew Ogie knew she lived for hard work.

A funeral service will be held May 11th, 2022 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
