Kristopher Trey Locklear

Kristopher "Trey" Locklear departed this world on Friday, March 29, 2024. Trey was a devoted father to his two sons, Kade and Kaleel. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and grandson. Trey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerome Carlen Locklear; his nephew, Cameron Ray Carr; his cousins, Megan, Kristen, and Jordan; and his beloved Aunt Betty Locklear.

Trey excelled in his landscaping career, transforming even a pile of dirt into something beautiful. From a young age, he loved riding go-karts and dirt bikes, a passion ignited by his uncles, Zander and Michael.

Trey’s smile could light up the world, and his heart was even bigger. He was my little twin and his sister, Alli's best friend. I will miss seeing them together, as they were inseparable. I will never again hear him say, "Momma, I love you," or “Momma, give me a kiss”, or feel his kiss on my cheek accompanied by his smile. We will miss watching him play and run with Kade or roll on the floor with Kaleel. There are so many things we will miss about him.

Trey shared a close bond with his River Rat Crew, especially Chris and Nick, who were his lifelong friends, as well as his special Aunt Karen. Trey leaves behind his mother, Vonda Locklear Edge; his stepfather, Tony Edge; his sister, Alli Arbasetti Locklear; his sons, Kade and Kaleel Locklear; his memaw, Geraldine Locklear; his special sisters, Candance "Lil Bro" and Sequioa "Lil Sis" Locklear; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his little twin, M.J. A special thank you to Aunt Renee, his pops, Jerry England, and everyone who has supported Trey and his family!

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 11:45 to 12:45 pm. A memorial service will be held at 1pm in the chapel.
