Judy Horne Benton of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Judy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Houston and Rosie Spell Horne, and brother, WD Horne. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Benton; sons, Scott Enloe and wife, Lisa, Clay Enloe and wife, Kerri, Lane Benton and wife, Vickie, Ryan Benton and wife, Beth; daughter, Amanda Benton; grandchildren, Summer Page, Ashlyn Enloe, Steele Enloe, Lindsey Wilson, Zack Johnson, Evan Enloe, Ivy Enloe, Jonathan Benton, Cody Benton, Caleb Benton, Christopher Benton, Caralyn Benton, Chase Benton, Hailey Benton, Korey Yandle, and Tyler Maxwell; great grandchildren, Paeson Page, Dalton Wilson, Skylah Benton, and Oliver Benton; siblings, Carolyn Spence, Curwood Horne and wife, Elizabeth, Gretta Hall and husband, Hooper, Jewel Horne, Shelby Threatt and husband, Jim, Rodney Horne and wife, Susan, and Mae Simpson and husband, Ron.
Judy, a native of Fayetteville, worked for and retired from the Fort Bragg school system. She attended church at Northwood Temple for over forty years. Judy participated in drama, choir, her senior’s group, and she was also a Sunday school teacher.
Judy was a loving wife, devoted mother, and incredible grandmother.
The family will greet friends prior to the service at 9:45 to 11:00 AM, at Northwood Temple Church on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at the church on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. A Private Family Burial will follow the service at Cross Creek Cemetery #3.
