Juan DeAngelo Wheat was born on November 20, 1951, in Anniston, Alabama.
Juan was a veteran, who honorably served his country in multiple branches, the first being the Marine Corps, where he devoted three years. After a brief pause in service, he re-enlisted in the Army, where he served for many years before his retirement in 1995.
Juan loved many things, including corvettes, our country, but most of all, his family.
His memory will forever live on through the legacy he leaves behind. These memories will be cherished by his wife, Mona.
Juan is also survived by his two children, son Juan Wheat Hancock, and daughter Gabrielle Wheat. His two grandchildren, who were the greatest joy in his earthly life, Alice, and Milo Hancock. His sister-in-law, Mary Helen Harris. Nephews, Kevin, Emmanuel, and Tim Harris, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Juan touched the lives of many, and will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
A graveside service will be held for Juan on Tuesday, June 1st, at 9:00 am, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
