Jimmie Ray McLeod, 86, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Jimmie leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Darlene McLeod; daughter, Yvonne Cox; daughter, Cindy Ammons; granddaughter, Kristine Cox; great grandson, Noa Baldonado; brother, Phillip McLeod; sister, Betty Jane Bishop, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Fayetteville, NC, Jimmie Ray spent his youthful days playing softball at Lamon Street Park. Embracing life to the fullest, he later moved to Myrtle Beach, SC with his family, where he settled his life in the sand. After the passing of his wife, many years later Jimmie met his new love, Darlene. Together, they built a life in the Inlet, sharing 22 years filled with love, care, and devotion.
Jimmie leaves us heavy-hearted but will always be remembered for his full of life moments and his smile that lights our way.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 10:45 to 11:45 am. A funeral service will be held in the Rogers and Breece Chapel at 12 pm with Brother Larry Chason officiating. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
