Jerry Dean Berry

CSM Jerry Dean Berry (RET) passed away at his home on November 23, 2021.  He was born in Marthaville, LA on December 3, 1946.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army for 23 years as a combat engineer.  During his military service, he spent time in the Dominican Republic, Viet Nam, Germany, Hawaii, Sergeants Major Academy in El Paso, Texas, and Korea.  Much of his military career was spent at Ft. Bragg, NC.  Following his military career, Jerry worked in real estate as an agent, broker in charge, and owner of Gore Realtors.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Limuel Berry; his mother, Marie Singletary; step-father, Trelia Singletary; and sisters, Carolyn Meadows, Charlot Lindsey, and brother-in-law, Donald Lindsey.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary; his children, Deanna Hardin(Scott) and Scott Berry(Summer) both of Fayetteville; his sister, Christie Sepulvado(Milton) of Louisiana and grandchildren, Palmer and Collin Hardin, and Savannah and Scarlett Berry.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, during a visitation from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10:00am at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Pastor Michael Klapp officiating.
